💭 THE FIRST SIP
Emotional trauma is an anchor throughout this story. Definitely read the trigger warnings before diving in.
📖 WHAT IT’S ABOUT
Leigh returns home to a friend after the traumatic end of her abusive marriage. Fighting overwhelming depression and trying to rebuild her life, she rekindles her friendship with her old flame, Tony.
❤️ WHAT I LOVED
• It’s by Brynne Asher!! And it’s a Carpeno Series!! 😆
• I love the raw look at depression and the honest depiction of having a patient, supportive person beside you.
• Second-chance stories just make everyone feel better. Chemistry, forgiveness, and heat. ❤️
🤔 WHAT I DIDN’T LOVE
• I don’t think I’ve ever had a negative thought about Brynne Asher… except that I need more, please! 😂
• car shopping (iykyk)

☕ FINAL SIP
📚 Would I recommend it?
Absolutely!
I read it from start-to-finish in one day. I could not put it down.
☕ Espresso Thoughts:
Second chances aren’t just for others or for love. Sometimes you need to give yourself a second chance at wholeness and happiness.
💭 BEST QUOTE:
“I know what it’s like to need a break. To need to check out and withdraw and do nothing. And that’s okay. Don’t put pressure on yourself to get back to normal right away. Take your time. Feel your feelings. Heal.”
☕ ESPRESSO RATING: 5/5
Until next time…
Keep building a beautiful life between coffee & chaos,
💛 Tiffany
