TERRY’S TOOLBOX: Rainy Day S’mores

Not every family has a firepit sitting in their backyard… but we do have a mechanic.
No fancy ingredients. No fire pit. No perfect Pinterest setup. Just cookies, marshmallows, a little mechanical ingenuity, and a whole lot of laughter.
Family s’mores night had been planned and replanned, but the Florida rain drowned our plans again. After a few disappointed groans and the beginning of another ordinary evening routine, Terry simply said, “Wait here,” and headed out to his truck.
A few minutes later he came back carrying a Coleman propane tank and torch.
The next thing we knew, marshmallows were roasting, a campfire promise had been kept, dessert was on the table, and the girls were convinced Dad was a hero.
No fancy ingredients. No fire pit. No picture perfect Pinterest setup.
Just us.
⭐ MANIC MOM TIP: Fudge Stripe Cookies work beautifully because the chocolate is already on the cookie, so you can skip an entire ingredient in classic s’mores while still getting the classic s’mores flavor.
This is a fun indoor twist on a campfire favorite, especially when the weather has other plans.

SAFETY NOTE: This recipe should always be done with adult supervision. Adults should always handle the propane torch while kids watch and giggle from a safe distance.
