Dinner, Dogs & Drunken Neighbors:
I don’t think this is what my doctor meant when she said I needed more Vitamin D. π

Sometimes the chaos isn’t something you created.
Sometimes life just gets loud, and somebody else’s chaos shows up at your gate.
Motherhood isn’t always cooking dinner, managing screen time, wiping fingerprints off refrigerators, and breaking up kids bickering.
Sometimes it means being a grown-up and choosing to protect what matters most without letting someone else’s behavior turn into a decision you’ll end up regretting.

Dog fights.
A vicious German Shepherd vs. my 11-pound Corkie.Β
An 11-year-old thinking she can handle everything; except their chores. π
A battle of testosterone-fueled men.
Drunk neighbors.
A man 14 inches taller than me and well over 300 pounds.
Drunk. Angry. In my driveway.
And somehow, I’m the assaulterβοΈ
When really,
I feel like the Corkie. π€£
All in the course of about an hour.
With dinner finished and eaten right in the middle.
Because apparently, in my world,
even drunken neighborhood chaos has to work around dinnertime. π
Some days marriage isn’t romance.
Sometimes it’s standing shoulder-to-shoulder in the driveway, trying to chase off the neighboring drunk and his vicious dog.
Sometimes it’s stepping between your husband and a situation you desperately don’t want to escalate.
Sometimes it’s coming back inside afterward, sitting down over a bowl of ice cream, looking at each other while shaking our heads, and saying:
“So… that just happened.” ππ¨
Until next timeβ¦
Keep building a beautiful life between coffee & chaos,
π Tiffany
